A couple of you mentioned to me that my Amazon wishlist is incredibly out of date and it was. So, I made a new one. Man, was it was fun to go shopping, just throwing whatever I wanted into my cart, but not really. There are so many more books and films and stuffs I’d love to have, but I had to stop myself. Things got out of hand.
Anyway, I’ve always found it interesting to see what people put on their lists. Your mileage may vary.

I think lots of people had trouble “getting” Lost in Translation. I thought the movie was great. My wife even liked it, although she has no idea why.
I’m not surprised that it only got 3 stars at Amazon. Folks there don’t like to stretch their minds when they watch films, I guess.
Whatever… Anyone wants to buy two of the wide screen DVDs and give me one, that’s fine by me.
I had trouble “getting” it the first time around. My mother recommended it to me, and implied that the whole movie was full of belly laughs. Turns out it was just that one scene where the Moscow, Idaho telephone book gets translated to mean “Go Vandals!”
But once my mother clarified herself, I just let myself watch the movie, and I thought it was cute. Plus some AWESOME Tokyo scenes!
