Four state legislators and three others were taken away in handcuffs today after a two-year FBI undercover sting operation dubbed "Operation Tennessee Waltz." Ten of thousands of dollars in bribes were allegedly accepted by those arrested from a fake company called E-Cycle that was set up by officers. According to his indictment, one state senator, John Ford, threatened to kill anyone who tried to set him up.

Damn, and I thought the pictures of Tom Cruise making a total ass out of himself on Oprah was entertaining.
Why I haven’t heard this outside of Tennessee I don’t know. This seems like fairly big news.

Britney, I’m so glad you posted this on your site today, thank you! I have a bad habit of not turning the TV on and don’t read much state/local news these days so who knows when I would have found out about this. Being in Memphis I’m not a Ford fan and hope they can make this one stick unlike the millions of other times he’s gotten in trouble and gotten out of it…
I love it! I had heard he was pulled over one time after shooting a gun in the air because a truck driver wouldn’t get out of his way.
I hope he enjoyed his last trip to Miami.
