Hope you are enjoying your vacation this week. Things are running smoothly in the newsroom. The news days, as they say, have been slow but that Michael Jackson thing is gonna come to a head soon, so at least we have that to look forward to.
So, I was thinking we should sit down and talk when you get back to Nashville. You see, it seems a gentleman was just hired to blog professionally for CMT. His job is to watch "The Dukes of Hazzard" and blog about it. It’s only been a little over a month, but judging from the linked article I’d say it’s high time for a raise.*
Hope your trip is lovely.
Sincerely,
Brittney
*My boss actually does read this site, so I can’t help but stress that I’m totally kidding. But this does change my thinking on that upcoming 90-day review.

Dear Brittney:
The vacation is going fine thank you. As for this Dukes of Hazard guy a paltry $100,000 will not even to cover the intense therapy this charachter is going to need at the end of this misguided publicity stunt.(I notice they said nothing of benefits in the article..probably for good reason.) Plus it’s a one year contract. You my dear Brittney are here for the long haul.
I am open to an earlier review than previously agreed upon mainly because those news people you sit with are notorious tighwads and I’m sure they’re not tipping the requisite 15-20%.
So, I’ll see you next week and we can talk.
Yours truly,
The Boss.
Well, well, well. Looks like Little Miss Brittney got herself some results! Sure hope the boss don’t find out about that moonshine Bo and Luke are making in the break room. You folks hurry back, I think there might be a heap’a trouble brewin’.
What I thought was funny about that article was how it pointed out that he doesn’t get a vacation.
I don’t know how much you make but for me $100,000 to sit through a single episode of Dukes doesn’t seem like enough. I think I’d rather mop out the inside of a nuclear reactor (Probably less harmful in the long run). For people who think Dukes was bad, try to imagine a blog about it.
Hehe. I was having a bit of trouble identifying someone in a bit of WKRN video I was using today…I thought about calling up the station and asking for you.
