The boyfriend gave me an iPod shuffle for my birthday. I was always skeptical of the fan boys, the Apple fanatics, but my mp3 player only as big as a stick of gum makes me want to have Steve Jobs’ babies. Or at least babysit them a time or two or something.

I’m pretty devoted to my Shuffle. I used to lug around a deck-of-cards size 5GB “first generation” iPod but got so sick of pampering it (drop those things once and they become paperweights) that I decided on a Shuffle. Luckily this happened around my birthday earlier this year so I got a 1 gigger for nuthin’.
Now, my 5GB iPod is pulled out of the drawer once a month for a minor charge just to maintain the battery, but otherwise I don’t really use it.
