I just burned my forehead with a curling iron. The moment I felt the hot metal singe my flesh I realized it was the first time that has happened since high school, maybe even junior high. With a sudden rush I felt thirteen again, and I wished desperately that I had a bottle of Vanilla Fields perfume to spritz on so I could feel thirteen all day.

Pain begets nostalgia, huh? No wonder I’m so brave.
What? A curling iron? Your appearance isn’t natural? POP goes another bubble.
Quick question, how come the name sparkwood and 21?
Sparkwood & 21 is lifted from, as you might have guessed, Twin Peaks. It is the intersection where Laura Palmer lost her shit the night she died, leaving James Hurley to cry on his motorcycle. It was one of the last places she was seen alive.
It is mentioned several other times in the series, though I hate to say more and spoil anything. To me Sparkwood & 21 seemed like a crossroads of sort. The intersection between Surreality and The Strange.
The name may not quite fit, but I like the idea of a blog being a place. Like an intersection.
That is neat. I tried looking that intersection up on my Rand McNally, and there seeems not to be a Route 21 (or Hwy 21, depending on your colloquialism) in the Nvl. vicinity. Never did see that show. :(
Hope you don’t scar up too badly. But that’s what that turbo TV personality make up is for.
