A New York Times food critic hits the open roads in search of the best fast food in the nation. Fascinating writing that will have you wishing for a Whataburger washed down with a Snickers Blizzard.

I think I’ll go for a Big Mac and a Steak and Shake chocolate orange soda.
I’m pathetic that I’d actually do that.
I agree with you the mentioned writing is very fascinating. I like the tasty vocabular of the author who can write about fast food with such a passion for detail.
I think the article is even more impressive (and quirky) when you realize it is just “A” Times but “The” Times critic. The man is charged with reviewing some of the finest restaurants in the world and making and breaking their fortunes. It facinating to see him apply the same methods to fast food.
He was on Michael Feldman’s show Saturday morning. Reminded me of a lot of fast food joints I’d forgotten (and that I eat/have eaten far too much of it).
