I’m not a doctor, but I would suspect an aneurysm (what a word) would result in a stroke or a coma instead of a long headache. Perhaps it’s just pollution in the air, not drinking enough water, allergies, etc.?
My advice to you: Quit reading all those right-wing blogs..they’l make your head spin.
I also suggest large doses of Advil if your stomach can handle it.
You know you want a headache decision flowchart. I’m guessing you’ve been cutting back on the caffeine.
And take 600-800 milligrams of ibuprofren. Mrs. Fat and I will both get headaches, I’ll take 800 mg she’ll take the 400 the label suggests.
An hour later, I’m fine and she’s still complaining of pain.
I’ve never seen a doctor prescribe less than 800 mg.
Also, the applying pressure to the fleshy area betwixt your thumb and picking finger will cause momentary relief, until you release the pressure.

Before spending money at the doctor , try a moisture hot pad that you microwave. Heat as hot as you can stand it. Place pack directly onto aching area. Just relax and let it lay there. Does this work ? If not , see the doctor.
if you have had this for 17 hours something is wrong…most headaches last no more than 10 to 12 hours…those that last longer are migranes..hope you feeling better soon!!
Maybe check your calendar. I have had hormone-related headaches that last two days, and the only thing that got rid of them was Excedrin. But it can mess up your stomach too.
Sounds like a mirgraine to me. I don’t get headaches at all, but I once got hit with one that hung around for about 4 days until I decided to see a doc to rule out a brain tumor. It turned out to be a one-time-only-migraine, lucky me. If you’ve got insurance, get it checked out. Or you can hang out for 4 days and see how you fare. Good luck.
Rodent Queen gets terrible migraines. She does what S&F says.
800 mgs of Advil. When it’s really bad she has to take Phenogrine (sp?)
She also likes it dark and quiet.
I feel bad for her when this happens.
I bet it was those little filo-dough pastries. What is that, blood pudding?
Last week I had a really bad headache. It was BAD! After I threw up after taking 4 advils and a lot of water I started feeling better.
If any part of your body goes numb, go demand an MRI immediately. That’s what happened right before one of my college girlfriend’s headaches was found to be an aneurysm. She didn’t make it through the night.
Just reading the post of having a headache for that long that hurts that bad. It doesn’t bring to mind anything close to hormone related, or allergies. I’m with Sara. I think it’s a migraine, and it isn’t uncommon to need to take large amounts of regular strength pain meds, and phenogrine does help for the nausea. I hope you don’t have to deal with it again.
The only reason this blog showed up on my search is because I was looking for information on phenogrine to send to a friend. It’s a pretty safe drug that Dr.’s use to keep nausea at bay durring things like migraines. My best advise is to ask your Dr. for stronger meds, or better meds that are spacifically for this problem, and try to stay down and in a darker room with silence. It helps mine.
