With going on for four days it could be a cluster headache. The “coming and going” sounds a lot more like a cluster headache. (Migraine’s insane bitch of a sister. I’ve had both and hate clusters far worse. They come and go and hurt like hell.)
Either way, the doctor should help.
I’m sorry…this isn’t the ideal way to greet a new baby, I’m sure. I hope you get to feeling better.
Hope you’re better. Or at least not so bad. Maybe even settle for not getting worse?
Headaches bite. I have headaches related to a back/neck injury and they’re hella exacerbated by sitting at a computer. My physical therapist makes me do this stretch we like to call the double chinner:
1. Sit up straight, looking dead ahead.
2. Without looking up or down, move your head straight back, as far as you can, as if you were trying to give yourself the mother of all double chins. And you will. Hold for 10 seconds and do not, under any circumstances, look in the mirror while doing this.
3. Relax for a few seconds and then repeat X 5. I’m supposed to do this every hour or so.
It really helped with the headaches that, yes, clustered behind an my eye like a lovely stabbing ice pick.

Easier for who, exactly? Tootie, for sure.
Four days?!? Dang, hie thee to a physician!
You know… they won’t amputate. :)
.
Seriously. Go see a doctor. They’ll at least give you better meds.
As a migraine sufferer, I feel for you.
My doc called in prescription Imitrex. It didn’t work so well. If it’s not gone by tomorrow, I’ll go in for a visit.
The thing is, I’m not sure it’s a migraine. It keeps coming and going, but exactly the same spot. Jabbing, piercing pain behind my right eye.
It sounds like a migraine if it’s behind on of your eyes.
Doctor’s visits suck, but are sometimes necessary.
Pudding pastries…I’m telling you.
