Best insult hurled my way this week. By far!:

If you’re not smart enough to know why television is bad for your mind,
then why should I waste my time? Besides, you whore your ideas out to
those bastards, that’s your bread and butter. You’re part of
television, hardly deserving any respect or credibility. Please, go
back to your false reality of contrived ideas and framed debates, don’t
let an independent thinker like me stand in your way. Bleat on, brave
soldier!

When I sit in a lecture or meeting I inevitably begin to doodle. Not good doodling by any stretch, but doodling is what it is. I noticed today as I sat in a staff meeting that I always end up drawing the same things. Year after year, speech after boring speech, I always doodle these items:

• men’s lapels
• sneakers
• poofy skirts and dresses
• hamburger
• varsity style block letters
• milkshake
• girl’s ponytail
• eyeball
• paper cup with a straw and a lid
• lightning

You would think after all those many hours of doodling the same objects that I would have gotten halfway decent at it. Don’t kid yourself.

This shouldn’t actually go up until tomorrow, but it would feel all kinds of wrong to post this in the morning.

Sirius satellite radio station 35, the "Chill" station, is worth the full $13 a month by itself. No lie, so good.

How cute is this header graphic that the Google put up for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? Subtle and delightful.
