Sooo, I quit my job today. I just tried to go in and see if any comments at the work blog needed to be pulled out of Akismet purgatory, only to discover the lock has been changed. To be expected, I guess, but still such a weird feeling to be an outsider to a site I ran for more than two years. I am relatively new (less than a month in) to this whole world of blogging; however, I must say you were one of my inspirations for having done so in the first place. I loved the open forum of NiT with you at it’s helm. I am sorry there are so many assholes out there that can not appreciate the entire aspect of this thing called “free speech”. Your forum allowed people to voice, vent and share opinions and ideas. I do not agree with everything everyone said; however, I respect the hell out their being able to do so. Hello! Isn’t that part of what this country was founded on??
Damn, I am sorry you have been hurt and thrown under the bus for bringing opinions across that are not necessarily your own (and on the same token, those that are your own). You are in my thoughts and I appreciate that you did what was best for you. I respect that fact tremendously.

I add my voice to all the other praises of your work here. As with others, I didn’t agree with you on much, but I always love reading your point of view, your snarky remarks and the gem posts you highlighted. You introduced me to all manner of new, wonderful blogs (and thus the people who write them) in middle Tennessee, as well as an incredible variety of viewpoints, ideas and discussions. You have done a marvelous job in a position that VERY few could ever do. Be very proud of the work you did here; it is worthy of very high praise. WKRN will have a very difficult time replacing you.

Hi — I live in Australia and really have no reason to read Nashville local news, but when I found out about your job I stuck around because I thought the concept was pretty interesting. I’m really sorry that it finished because of Internet jerks!

feminists tend to have liberal views of the world. I do not think I have ever heard of right-wing feminist due to the fact right-wing values tend to favor the brainwashed, god-fearing, “moral majority” of the right who despise their fellow human beings who do not agree 100% with their mis-informed views of the world.
