Should I dye my hair red? It’s store-bought semi-permanent color that will fade/wash away over time. I’ve had the box sitting in the bathroom for about two months. Help me.

No do not
I could see either red or purple. Not if your hair gets too curly, though.
Just my 2 rubles.
Go for it.
1. It’s not permanent
2. Natural red heads aren’t hot, all the hot red heads in the movies dye it anyway.
3. Whenever possible, we shouldn’t live our lives thinking, “I wonder if I had…”
Plus, red hair is just cute.
Always depends on the shade of red. From pictures, I can see you as more of a strawberry blonde.
Ultimately, I say go for it. I was having a similar dilemma about a perm last week. I went for it and I love it.
As has been pointed out, it’s not forever so even if you hated it you’d only have to live with it for a while. Personally, I think a change is good every now and then. Based on your pictures, your hair would probably look really good red. Plus, knowing the workings of the male mind, the BF will love it cause it’s as close as a faithful man can get to cheating.
My only reservation is the fact that it’s a home job. (Huh huh, home job!) My grandmother ran one of those old-fashioned southern beauty shops for about a hundred years and I remember often hearing her talk about having to do major follicle rescue on people who’d botched in-home colors or perms. Some things are better left to experienced pros. Yes, I know a professional color is expensive, but hey, you’ve got a job again. What’s the point of going to work every day if not to pay for the things that make us happy? If you do decide to try it yourself, please make sure it’s a product from a reputable company, then read the instructions about 10 times before you start.
My vote would be “no,” but mine doesn’t count!
.
I vote “no”, too.
Nearly every woman I know who has dyed her hair red has done so at a time of extreme life-transition (new job, divorce, graduating grad school, etc.)
They seem to do it as a definitive self-statement. “Here I am world!” –that kind of thing.
It generally doesn’t work in the way they intended and so they go into their new job or divorce court or whatever feeling even more ill at ease because of their hair.
Do it. Maybe you’ll love it.
If you hate it, it’s not permanent.
Uhh…no!
Yes, do it. Ignore the red-head-haters.
The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. etc.
I died my hair red once.
It was a terrible thing for me and Coble is right, I was in a very bad place then.
But tha’ts just me.
If you think you’ll like it, go for it.
Nah
Ask your significant other. He may not care for the odor from the dye. You might be surprised this can be an issue.
Judging from your picture I would say no. Not needed.
It’s not that I dislike red hair, or even hair dyed red. I just like B.’s natural color (or unnatural color, whichever it may be). :)
.
My stepdaughter just did it- Her hair color is the same as yours and it does not look good. It looks pink on the wispies around her face and it’s just weird-looking, and not in a good way.
