I was not fired from my previous job. There has been a metric crap-ton of lies about my departure from WKRN, but there is no excuse for repeating the untruth that I was let go. It’s simply not true. Not sure why I care so much about that particular falsehood, but it burns me up to see otherwise intelligent people get it wrong.

The funny thing is i left a comment on MetroBlogging last night and i said “…Brittney was let go…” and realized i was wrong as soon as i posted it. I thought about trying to delete the post and repost, but that just gets annoying.
Don’t know why it’s in my head that way, i know you resigned. And people getting that fact wrong would bug me too. Sorry. [dope slap self]
Not a huge deal, I just *keep* seeing it. Mostly from those unfamiliar. I just don’t want my future employers to think I have lied to them about the terms on which I left WKRN.
