Some have gravitated to blogs like Feministing and Jezebel, and to independent magazines like Bust, Bitch and Venus. But in Jane, they found the one mainstream magazine that spoke to them, if imperfectly. It was the best of what a lot of women thought of as a bad bargain. In the end, that wasn’t good enough.
You know, I really wanted to like Jezebel … but I found it too mean. I’m all for a good snark, but it has to be the icing on top, not the entire freakin’ cake.
