- I am making a list, because people love lists! They also love numbers, but I do not, so we’re going bulleted up in here.
- I am typing this from my couch. This is a large-type luxury for me. I have never had a new computer in my life. I’ve always had used or refurbished PCs. One of them had Windows Millennium on it. Pity me. The machine I have now is about six years old. I’m waiting for it to shut down on me any second. I decided to get off the PC not-so-gravy train, and get a Mac. A laptop one, at that. I sorta kinda fell in love with it.
- I cannot stop playing with Photobooth.
- I miss Adam.
- I sure do like that Hell’s Kitchen show, but it makes me uptight. PTSD, I guess.
- Tootie got fat so I cut her food portion by just one-quarter, and slowly but surely she lost weight. Why can I do this for my dog, but not for myself?
- I need to renew my dedication to eating a diet free of animal products.
- I want to sign up for a yoga class, but have no idea where to start. I’d like to decrease stress and gain flexibility. Any residual weight loss is a bonus. I would also like to incorporate meditation. If anyone wants to advise me, hit it.
- I just noticed that nearly every one of these bullet points begins with ‘I.’ Is it narcissism? Most certainly, but it is also a reprieve from writing in second person imperative, something I do frequently at my new job.
- I’m going to BarCamp Nashville, and will be speaking about blogging, both the awesome and the terrible.
- I wish I was going to BlogHer.
- I love this seagull, but I worry about that many crisps in a single bird.
- I could write a book on this. Hell, maybe I will.
- I could eat at a restaurant within a five mile radius from the office where I work every day for a year and never patron the same one twice.
- If I have one complaint about the MacBook, it’s the keyboard. I feel like the keys are super far apart. It’s just going to take some getting used to. Otherwise, she’s a beaut.

I believe you can find some yoga (places? gyms? stores?) in Berry Hill.
I think one of the bloggers is a yoga instructor, although I can’t remember which one. I bet you could dig it up in the NiT archives, wherein a bunch of sorority girls wanted her to do sessions with them prior to spring break.
You’ll get used to the keyboard; and when you touch a pc again, you’ll feel a little icky.
I’m still loving my MacBook Pro after over a year (refurbished, even, though it was only a few months old). Photo Booth is even more fun with a toddler.
Muffy wong used to do hot yoga, not sure if she still teaches it or not..
my friend leah just opened her own yoga studio just down from five points. i believe it is at the corner of 11th and fatherland. kali yuga yoga is the name of the joint, and i did the absolute barebones website at kaliyugayoga.com. i HEART going there, especially for restorative classes which is like 80 minutes of meditation and deep stretching. also, $5 classes on wednesday night.
if you ever want to go, let me know and i’ll roll witcha.
I’m still weeping for joy over the whole “got a Mac” thing…
[…] So what? She wrote a lot of other stuff too. But she GOT A MAC. Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. […]
I love my MacBook.
Love it.
And I’ll be at BarCamp as well.
My husband and I will be at BarCamp, too, despite Stephen’s left-brained complaints that “they don’t even say what they’re really about.”
I invested in an iLap when I bought the (still going strong) iBook G4 in the fall of 2005. They’re not cheap, but they’re durable and they act as a heat sink, which protects your investment.
Alison: $5 yoga class? Now if I could stop feeling like I need to lose weight just to be seen doing Downward Dog.
Welcome to the Borg, Brittney. We loooove you. (ā a, ā c, ā v, oh yeeeeah)
Get that AppleCare if you haven’t already, baby; I’ve got it on the home Mac, too. It just saved my workplace $750 when the power supply on the work iMac burnt out (pyeu) and almost fried the muthaboard. And talk about swift: the AppleStore folks in Green Hills got us a less-than-24-hour turnaround on repairs. I’m still agog.
