Shauna and Pea made these cupcakes for a “The Office” premiere party I went to on Thursday. Also, Jamie made every guest a mix CD called The Commemoration of the Long Anticipated Return of Jam featuring songs sung by characters throughout the series. Instead of a track listing there were stills from the episodes in which the song was sung. The next morning when I listened to the mix c.d. in my car stereo and heard, “Goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend…” I almost had to pull the car over I was laughing so hard.

I have awesome friends.

True enough: “Most [newspaper blogs] seem to have astoundingly small readerships—because the paper won’t support them or treat them as part of the paper.”

I concur: “You all are like the most annoying indie snobs ever encountered filtered and concentrated in one area. Just listening to everyone’s cooler than thou assholery makes me pine for ultra jock meathead stupidity…and that’s saying something.”

Bloggers are really bad about personal attacks. Sadly, journalists do it far too often, as well.

I’d totally be going to see Feist at the Ryman if it weren’t for the fact that I start my job at KPIX two days prior, on November 19th. Poor me. I imagine we’ll be packed into a Budget rental truck–me, him, the dogs and all our stuff–by the 14th at the very latest.
