I have to rethink my entire wardrobe. A sleeveless dress with a heavy coat won’t cut it. I need cardigans, light jackets and scarves. I need long sleeved shirts for layering. And while I love walking a mile to work and taking the train, my footwear is not optimal for said journey. I need some dressy sneaker type things to go with my work clothes.
Oh, this could get expensive.

Now you understand my danskos and obsessive layering. Welcome to the temperate left coast!
Btw… on your Tumblr, you say you saw Momma. Unpossible. That woman passed away some 19 years ago.
Man, did she make me laugh, though.
.
Have you haven’t realized yet that the climate in Berkeley and the climate in SF are often two entirely different things?
Yay, you get to shop!
Scott - we’ve been told this is true, but since we’ve been here, they have been within a degree or two of each other. I think that’s probably a fluke, but it has been nice.
Sensible shoes. You need sensible shoes.
Try Clarks.
I had this problem once as well. I bought a couple pairs of skechers with straps. They worked really well. I couldn’t wear them barefoot like some folks, but they still looked good with sheer pantyhose footies.

Yeah, it’s an 8-block walk from my house to BART so I have to wear flats as well. I found some cute ones at Payless in the Westfield Mall adjacent to Powell BART. Also, when you exit the Embarcadero BART on the side that goes towards Montgomery, come up and you’re at the corner of Pine & Market. You should see an Oishii food stand and a Subway. In between them is a shoe shop that has some stylish and comfortable flats.
