People around here don’t really do it up for the big JC’s birthday. A scant few Christmas trees are all I can find, and outdoor lights are nearly non-existent. I keep forgetting that Santa is right around the corner.
Christmas in San Francisco

There’s a year round Christmas store on the ground floor of a mini-mall at the wharf…about two blocks from Ghiardelli Square.
There was also a great Chinese restaurant on the second floor. Maybe it is still there.
That’s because you west coast liberals are attacking Christmas again.
Heck, I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt (Memphis), and Christmas decorations are pretty sparse around here. Nowhere near as widespread as in my last two home towns, Cincinnati and Milwaukee.
“the big JC”
Penney?
