Surprise! I just learned that not only is housing four times more expensive in the Bay Area, so is electricity. And this state income tax business? I know it is for the greater good, but it is taking some getting used to.

Nuclear and hydro are pollution free and all the coal-fired plants have been fitted with very effective scrubber systems.
Our air is definitely as clean as that in the land of fruits and nuts.
