That’s because Bush isn’t a fiscal conservative in any way, shape, or form.
Neither was Nixon, for that matter. Nixon is pretty much tied with Roosevelt for being our most socialist president. No, really. If you don’t believe me, believe the good liberals at PBS.
I haven’t heard any of the candidates talk much about reducing spending or shrinking government either. All they talk about is how much money they’re going to give us or what services they’re going to provide for us “free”.
