I’m crabby and crampy and in a generally unpleasant mood today, but on my break today I can walk down to the water, out onto the pier and look over the bay which opens up into the wild, wide Pacific Ocean. And that, my friends, is fucking amazing.

Yikes! Indeed you are. But indeed it is amazing how geting in touch with mother earth for a bit can sort of chage things. Finding the right spot even locally can be a vacation of sorts.
It’s a good place. As a native Californian, there is a part of me that will never let go, as much as I have come to love other, more eastern parts of this country.
I’ve lived in SF for nine years and I still get that same sense of amazement every time I survey the view. As “cities-in-nature” go, it has to be one of the most if not *the* most breathtaking.
