UPDATE: I’ve linked to more info about the 4% health care charge in the comments.
Holy crap. And I thought twenty-one dollar burgers were an urban legend.
Or is it the health care tax that I’m supposed to be noticing. That’s interesting.
I was about to say, fall off the veggie-wagon?
Damn.
Ack…and its not even organic beef.
*ahem Nopas burger is 12$, and is….better.
Holy shit…
We have a gourmet restaurant near us in NE Portland (Yakuza) that sells killer Kobe Burgers for $12, and I thought THAT was expensive.
A burger must have breasts or some other majorly appealing feature before I’ll be willing to pay $21 for it.
what is a health care tax? is that some new pc form of tipping?
Here is more information about SF’s restaurant health care mandate and how some eateries are passing on the cost to consumers:
Health Care Shows Up on Restaurant Bills
Appeals court allows S.F. to enforce health care law
Not really all that shocking for the bay…
from now on, every time I submit an invoice to any company for work I’ve done — I’m tacking on a Health Care percentage charge and will just tell the payer that it’s a new government regulation.
